Carlynn studied Dance and Musical Theatre at Pretoria Technikon; she is a shareholder of Contractors Artists, an agency established in 1996. She is the SAGA representative on the SASFED council. The lack of professional standards and exploitation of performers' rights in the industry inspired her to collaborate with several performers and initiate SAGA. As a Founder member, she is committed to upliftment, education, and working for the rights of professional actors in the industry.
